MESSAGE FROM CENTRE MANAGER

It was pleasing to see how busy the Centre was during the Get Outlet Sale and school holidays, with strong customer traffic demonstrating the continued appeal of our retail destination. 

You may have noticed some smaller ambience and tenant project works taking place around the Centre as we continually strive to ensure our facilities look their best for shoppers. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding whilst these necessary improvements are completed.

As we look ahead, the team is gearing up for what promises to be an exciting Black Friday and Christmas period, with special promotions and events planned to make our customers shopping experience even more enjoyable.

THE STRIDE SOCIETY

We've recently partnered with the Gold Coast Heart Foundation to create Harbour Towns very own Walking Group The Stride Society. 

Walkers can enjoy a friendly stroll through the palm lined open air mall! It is perfect for all fitness levels, we meet weekly to improve heart health, socialise, and enjoy gentle exercise in a safe environment. New walkers are always welcome - and there's a free coffee afterwards. 

SEPTEMBER GET OUTLET SALE

A huge thank you to all retailers who submitted a Get Outlet Sale offer for the recent September sale event.

The three-day event included free country western entertainment, giveaways, a country music festival featuring some big names off The Voice and the real showstopper - incredible sale offers submitted by you! The Get Outlet Sale was promoted across multiple radio stations, outdoor advertising, paid digital advertising, online articles, social media and email marketing.

Thank you to all who got amongst our Country Western Theme it made the atmosphere for the weekend even better. A big Congratulations to the staff at Peter Alexander who was crowned our best dressed retailer for the weekend. 

TOURISM UPDATE

July and August marked record-breaking months for post-COVID tourism, with the Tourism Lounge welcoming the highest number of groups and PAX since November 2020. Harbour Town also participated in Tourism & Events Queensland’s Experience Queensland Roadshow, connecting with key trade partners from South Korea and Japan through valuable B2B meetings.

In exciting news, the Tourism Lounge will temporarily close for its first full renovation in over a decade, designed to elevate and enhance the Centre’s tourism offering. The refreshed Lounge is set to reopen in mid-November.

RETAILER UPDATE

A few friendly reminders: 

• When there is a change in store management, please update CMO with their contact details to ensure important information is being circulated to the correct store contact.
• Reminder to please have all new staff complete the staff car parking registration form on our website and ensure they are familiar with the locations of the South, North and West carparks.

OPERATIONS UPDATE

We are pleased to announce Leonie Hargrave as our new Operations Manager. Leonie brings valuable experience as an Assistant Operations Manager, and we are excited for her to step into this new role. 

As we approach the busy retail periods surrounding Black Friday and Christmas, please keep an eye out for memos that will be circulated regarding important retailer information, including parking arrangements for these busy time periods.
